Yes. Field Notes focuses on real experiences and practical insights drawn from the career field. These stories are not theory—they reflect situations members have faced, lessons they have learned, and perspectives that helped them grow as leaders.

The goal is to provide meaningful reflections that others can apply to their own professional journeys.

Field Notes is designed for women in Security Forces at every stage of their careers.

Do Field Notes have to serious lessons?

Not at all.

While many Field Notes focus on leadership, mentorship, and professional growth, they can also include everyday lessons and experiences that might help someone else along the way.

That might mean sharing a funny story from the field, tips for cooking dinner after a long shift, advice for navigating school while serving, planning a cross-country road trip, or anything else that others in the community might learn from or relate to.

Sometimes the most meaningful lessons come from the small moments we share with each other.
